TI Aids Android, Unveils Open-Source Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Drivers

Texas Instruments unveiled a new Wi-Fi and Bluetooth software drivers that can be used with the Open Handset Alliance’s Android project. These drivers simplifies the designing process of smart phones, giving manufactures and software developers and easier and more efficient way of coming up with improvements to the android phone.
Texas Instruments released its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth software drivers for use with the Open Handset Alliance’s Android project today.
Enthusiasts are all excited about the Open-Source Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Drivers. The open source community needless to say welcomes the new drivers with open arms. Earlier, TI formalized their support for the Android platform thru its OMAP 3 applications processors. It won’t be long before Android phones will become as successful as other smart phones.
