Here’s another laptop for you in case you can’t go with their Portégé. Toshiba teamed up with Best to bring the 14.1-inch Satellite E105 laptop at a very cheap price.
Best Buy first conducted a study to learn what most of its consumers look for in their ideal laptop. Portégé what? I can write and pronounce it but I’m not so sure about the rest of the guys surfing the net. And I don’t know why they can’t make the names of their products simpler, like how Microsoft named its newest operating system. This is clearly a new marketing strategy being employed by Toshiba. Perhaps the company chose to duplicate the success of Häagen-Dazs and whether or not this laptop series would be a success, that’ll be another story.
The Portégé laptop range features special shock proof screens, hard disk drives and general exteriors. The company also decide to rhyme Portégé with security and included finger print.
First in the line up is the Portégé R600. This is the company’s answer to the growing demand for thin and light laptops. Portégé R600 is only 1.18 thick and it weighs 2.14 lbs. It has a 12.1 inch LED-backlit screen. Its memory tops at 2GB and it can either have a 128GB SSD or 160GB HDD, whichever the client prefers. It also uses an Intel Core Duo processor. It is currently tagged at $2,399.
