5-Inch BeBook Mini E-Reader Makes Debut

A recent version of the e-book reader called BeBook is set to be launched. This 5-inch display screen will be sold at $200 or less throughout Europe. The company who is responsible for this new technology is the Dutch company known as Endless Ideas. It is said this new reader will be made available a few weeks from now and can be compared to its previous versions in almost every aspect.

The original 6-inch display BeBook reader is being sold at a retail price of $395. Unlike its rival, the Amazon Kindle which does not have a wireless capability, the BeBook is operating under the Linux operating system. But, just like most of its biggest rivals, the reader is using the E-ink display.

Hewlett-Packard thinks no different. So here comes its very own mini laptop running on Windows XP. The HP Laptop Lite Mini 1000 will be among the cheapest netbooks running in XP (there aren’t many netbooks with that configuration anyway) starting off at $379. HP boasted the netbook as an ultimate mini laptop on the go.
