Now here is the operating system that will end Windows Vista, Mac OS and the coming Windows 7. Well, that is if this prototype will be available in the public anytime soon. This is Oblong’s G-Speak OS and as you can see from the video it combines science-fiction technology with gestural interface.

If the scene looks familiar then it’s because you have seen it hundreds of times, in many science fiction film. Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report movie starring Tom Cruise is one of the many movies that showcased a technology similar to this.

According to G-Speak makers, this new OS is “the first major step in [a] computer interface since 1984.”

We don’t know the extent or capability of this OS yet, but as of now, you guys can imagine how good it would be to play MMORPGs using this system.
