Firefox is currently the leading desktop browser and there is no doubt about that, but is Mozilla Labs powerful enough to take the thrown from Opera, Skyfire, Openwave and other mobile browsers? That is the question that Fennec or Firefox for mobile will try to answer.
Mozilla Labs released the much awaited mobile browser dubbed as Firefox for Mobile alpha code. Sadly, it can only be tested by Nokia N810 and N800 Internet tablet users.
Fennec sports remarkable usability even it’s still in an early stage of development. The browser has a full-screen display with navigation set to the side. It has its unique adaptation of bar that has browsing history, bookmarks, search and addon capabilities that is present in Firefox 3.
According to Mozilla’s official site, the mobile version of Firefox is released for the following purpose:
• get wider community feedback on our approach to the user experience
• engage Mozilla community teams, including localizers, add-on developers, and testers
• get feedback from Web developers
For Mozilla Firefox fanatics, the best is yet to come!
