Dell Inspiron Mini 12 Now in Japan

Dell Inspiron Mini 12 Laptop

The world may soon enjoy Dell’s first laptop that runs on Intel Centrino 2 the Dell Studio 15 but for the meantime, Japanese mini laptop fans may first enjoy Dell Inspiron Mini 12. Dell will release the larger version of Mini 9 next month. This is after Dell agreed with the terms of Japanese computer sellers Kojima, VIC Camera, and SofMap.

Dell Inspiron is the first netbook to sport a 12-inch widescreen display. It is two inches wider than other popular models such as MSI Wind and Lenovo IdeaPad S10. Since it is a netbook, buyers can enjoy a widescreen display for a less price compared to standard laptops. Dell Inspiron 12 has 1,280-by-800 resolution, a lot more than the usual 1,280-by-600 of most netbooks.
Inspiron 12 sports usual hardware like multicard reader, USB ports, VGA-Out, Ethernet, and a built-in 1.3-megapixel camera. In terms of storage capacity you can choose on the following variation: 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB.

This mini notebook is powered by .33-GHz Z520 and the 1.6-GHz Z530 Atom processors. It runs Windows Vista Basic, although we’re not sure if you should be happy about it. If you don’t like Vista, you can wait until after October when Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux powered Inspiron 12 will be released.

At least Dell Inspiron 12 doesn’t have an identity crisis like the IMOVIO’s iKIT. Inspiron 12 that runs on Windows Vista Basic is currently tagged at $550.

You ran out of power.
