Sony has announced a firmware update to the next PS3. The update called v2.70 has new features such as Text Chat. This new feature will enable the user to communicate online with his PlayStation Network friends.
Using the Wireless Keypad, on screen keyboard or other compatible keyboards, up to 15 friends can be chatted simultaneously. The Text Chat can also be accessed while the user is playing his PS3 games. Up to three chat rooms can be participated in by the user at the same time.

Nintendo releases the DSi Cards. The DSi Cards are a new type of DS cartridges which will only work on the DSi. The cartridge will also work on all DS systems that have the DSi Enhanced Cards but extra features are noticeable when played on a DSi.
This bit of information was revealed by Nintendo’s project leader, Masato Kuwahara at the GDC panel. The new software might, however thrill or frighten you because of its complexity.

Has Nintendo revealed its release date for the DS Lite? According to several sources, the company has announced that the device will be released on April 4. However, insiders have affirmed that this is nothing but a speculation from the avid public. It has also been rumoured that the retail price will be $179.99.
Although the Nintendo DSi physically looks like its predecessor, it boasts of possessing more advanced features such as an SD Card slot, built-in camera, enhanced user interface, and an internal memory. Not only that, it also has access to an expanding catalogue of downloadable DSi games and matter, called DSiWare, through the Nintendo WiFi Connection.
